The Future Is Now
Following our Centennial Celebration, and with plans for the next century already begun, we could not be more clear in purpose, or blessed by the overwhelming support and commitment of our school community. The future is now for Webb.
The Centennial Campaign offers us the rare opportunity to honor our founders and our great legacy of teachers and alumni, and to secure our future for the next century and beyond. Our success will vastly accelerate our international reputation as a center for unbounded education, and ensure our ability to attract and develop the most courageous, talented and innovative students and teachers in the century ahead.
On October 23rd, 2021, we announced the extraordinary news that an alumnus completed a future estate gift to The Webb Schools of $100 million as part of The Centennial Campaign. This transformative gift to Webb is the largest of its size ever given to a school in the West—and among the greatest investments ever made in an educational institution in the world.
When fully realized, the newly established Parent Tribute Fund will serve three purposes: attract, nurture and retain exceptional, potentially life-changing teachers; ensure a curious, high energy, kind and hard-working student body is enrolled regardless of financial circumstances; and leverage the schools’ location by creating partnerships enabling Webb students to be actively involved with the many educational, cultural and service institutions in the greater Los Angeles area.
This donor has made this gift to honor his parents for the wisdom they showed and the sacrifices they made in sending him to Webb. He also hopes that his gift will inspire many others to support the schools and the enduring values for which they stand. This transformative gift is already proving inspirational!
We are proud to announce that as of June 30, 2023, more than $94 million in additional gifts and pledges have also been committed to The Centennial Campaign by alumni, parents and friends. This is remarkable progress toward our efforts to inspire more than $200 million in current, endowed and planned gifts.
The investment already shown by the Webb community is powerful. Indeed, the deep faith you place in Webb’s future is awe-inspiring. As we work together in the months and years ahead to accomplish our many shared goals, we do so with great energy, determination and gratitude.
Yours,
Theresa Smith, Ph.D.

The Future Is Now
As we celebrate The Centennial Years and put in motion our plans for the next century, we could not be more clear in purpose, or blessed by the overwhelming support and commitment of our school community. The future is now for Webb.
The Centennial and The Centennial Campaign offers us the rare opportunity to honor our founders and our great legacy of teachers and alumni, and to secure our future for the next century and beyond. Our success will vastly accelerate our international reputation as a center for unbounded education, and ensure our ability to attract and develop the most courageous, talented and innovative students and teachers in the century ahead.
On October 23rd we announced the extraordinary news that an alumnus donor completed a future estate gift to The Webb Schools of at least $100 million as part of The Centennial Campaign.

He also hopes that his gift will inspire many others to support the schools and the enduring values for which they stand. This transformative gift is already proving inspirational!
We are proud to announce at this time that more than $70 million in additional early gifts and pledges have also been committed to The Centennial Campaign by alumni, parents and friends. This is a remarkable start to The Campaign and our efforts to inspire more than $200 million in current, endowed and planned gifts.
The investment already shown by the Webb community as we celebrate our heritage and prepare for the next century is powerful. Indeed, the deep faith you place in Webb’s future is awe-inspiring. As we work together in the months and years ahead to accomplish our many shared goals, we do so with great energy, determination and gratitude.
