In June 2019, LiangLiang Sun ’06 established The Sun Family Fund for the Performing Arts, an endowed fund that provides annual contributions to the performing arts programs at The Webb Schools in perpetuity. A dedicated chamber singer while a student at Vivian Webb School, Sun wanted to ensure a lasting legacy that would aid the program for years to come.
Sun’s brother, Boris ‘24, is also an accomplished cellist, and so the fund will also support the orchestra. Endowed funds like the one created by Sun and her family have an enduring impact on Webb’s ability to fulfill its mission, to prepare students for the creative and critical thinking that is needed in our complex global society. This specific fund affords the performing arts program the chance to take advantage of new opportunities such as inviting visiting soloists, providing travel to concerts and more for our Webb singers and musicians.
