Jan Mitchell Johnson ’86 has been a steadfast supporter of The Webb Schools with a decades-long history of giving, and never misses a Class of 1986 reunion. She is a proud member of the Hastings Society for continuous donors, named for Al Hastings ’42, one of our most loyal alumni leaders.
In 2019, Johnson also became a member of the Thompson and Vivian Webb Society by documenting her intentions to include Webb in her estate plans. She wrote, “I am choosing to give to Webb because Webb gave so much to me. My intention is that my gift gives other wide-eyed, passionate students the futures they deserve.”
Johnson has dedicated her working life to growing funding for all educational institutions. As the president and CEO of Grantsformation, Inc., Johnson says her “superpower is turning words into money” and has won over half a billion dollars in education funding grants since the founding of the company 17 years ago. She has served schools for nearly 30 years as a teacher, technology coordinator, grant writer and school leader, and currently resides in Panama City, Florida.
